Visiting the borehole...

Hi all, another day, another blog! Today, the other half of the team visited the feeding centre which they found very moving. They also got to experience the new borehole nearby, which was especially important to the locals because it used to take 3 hours to fill one bucket with water. meanwhile, the other half of the team were on project, where their jobs consisted of brick moving and classroom painting. They also participated in the primary school results ceremony, where some of us got to present awards to the top performing students. It was great to see how proud the parents were of their achievements.
After lunch, everyone for involved with painting, tree planting and brick laying (which Grace and Annemarie struggled with so that the builders had to do it again). The progress can clearly be seen and we are all legends.
Lots of love from Mzuzu (which by the way if you don't know is Amelia, Sarah, Grace and Annemarie)

  1. Legends one and all. Great to hear about all the progress you're making (brick-laying is hard). Look forward to seeing more photos of your handiwork. Keep going!

  2. You have done so much in a short space of time, and there are still five days left. All your hard work will be appreciated over the next few years, not just by those who will use the school now, but potentially their children too.

  4. Hello Amelia,
Hope you are still having fun even if it is hard work. Well done to all for your efforts. Must be great to genuinely improve peoples lives. Amelia, If you could just bring those brick laying skills back to the UK, that would be great as we have a couple of jobs lined up! Missing you loads.
