To the wisdom tree!

Today was out last full day in manyenje village. It was also a very early start for us all as we woke up at 5:00am to hike up to the famous wisdom tree. After the trek to the top of the mountain we found an area to settle down and watch the sun rise next to the wisdom tree. Stevie told us to be silent but we were continually interrupted by Amelia's grumbling tummy. We then made our way back to the site for breakfast and spent the rest of the day doing finishing touches on the building site as well as packing our bags. By lunchtime we had a lovely gathering with all the locals in manyenje village. There were leaving speeches and dances. It was very emotional. We finished the day with a football match against the kids and builders and came in for our last dinner in manyenje- spaghetti bolognaise. Now time for star gazing and an early night, ready for the 5 hour journey and safari tomorrow. Lots of love Meg, Anna and phoebe VW
