Church, Malawian style

Sunday - the day of rest. Lol not really. We just got an extra hour in bed, not to mention Phoebe's 6am nose bleed (don't worry Dan and Wendy - it's all good in hood).
We changed the breakfast up a bit today.  Egg, tomato and onion sandwiches - Oh yes! We weren't on project today, so we could afford a lazy morning in the compound.
Just before we headed to church, Jack and Emily kindly gave us matching chitenges (people skirts with chickens on them). Church was a fantastic experience, with lots of dancing and singing - we all felt very welcome and got involved.
After lunch (rice and beans!) We were treated to our very own market, provided by local craftsmen associated with Joshua.
We did some major haggling, Amelia smashed that but moving on... We all got some smashing deals on cute Malawian merchandise. We played with the children and taught them how to play some classic English games like 40 40 and IT. Elian and Moritz taught the kids to 'skank' (look it up - the drum and bass version). Now we're joining together to play Mafia before bed xoxo Amelia, Annemarie, Grace and Sarah

Looking dashing Jack!
