A bit of an epic journey!

We started the day with singing happy birthday to Alex with people joining in as they woke up. After this there followed emotional goodbyes to everyone in the village, with our cooks Dokas and Ivy particularly upset and going to miss us. Everyone has made memories and friendships they will keep and cherish forever. A few delays from getting the luggage rack fixed and a 4 hour journey turning into a 9 hour one, we arrived at Mvuu camp in Liwonde national park. We've just had an excellent dinner with meat for the first time since being on project! Everyone has gone to bed tired but excited for our safari that'll start early tomorrow morning. We're yet to see any animals but have heard hippos and elephants through our meal and if we're lucky will hear more from our tents. The students will be able to update you tomorrow but for now they're all fast asleep getting ready for a 5:15 start!
